Restaurant Week + Comedy Festival = Great Weekend!

TJ Miller is coming to Charleston tonight! I am so excited to see his standup as I have seen him in a couple roles in movies and he is always hilarious. Before the show some friends, my husband, and I are going to Muse for Restaurant Week. I will let you know how it is! :)

Princess Bride Reference : WIN!

Obviously Inigo's favorite wine is by Montoya. And at $16.99, it is an attainable wine for anyone to enjoy! Score for Total Wine marketing department. I laughed out loud at this. :)

Working From Home

The Executive Management Team in our company recently launched a task force (that of which I am a part of) to research the feasibility of working from home...

I think this sounds like an AWESOME IDEA!

Trail Mix OCD?

Surely I am not the only one who likes a consistent bite while they are eating trail mix? I enjoy a perfect blend of nut, dried fruit, and chocolate in my mix and don't care that I look like a crazy when I do it!

So here is my little line of perfect groupings... and it is delicious and nutritious!

The older I get, the more I realize how weird I can actually be :)

2012 is Going to Be a Great Year!

There is so much to look forward to this year... and I just feel so thankful because I could have said that about every year of my life! My life has been so blessed and there just aren't words, and every year keeps getting better!

On the 2012 Winter/ Spring agenda:
  • January - rang in the New Year with great friends, old and new
  • February - my mom will be living here in Charleston the entire month!
  • March - will hopefully have the joy that is becoming a registered architect - after 2 long years of testing. Plus my family has a beach house for an entire week... score!
  • April - 3 weddings! and I am the matron of honor in my best friend's wedding... so honored!
  • May - My sister's graduation from Pharmacy school! Congrats [future] Dr. Pahs :)
So all I have to say is, that if the world is really going to end this year on 12-21-12... I am ready. I am happy. and I have done well with my life! :)

Beech Mountain, NC | NYE Trip

We were invited to go up to the mountains this year for New Year's Eve with a group of people by our friends J and A. A's parents own a cabin up there so we packed the Excursion and headed out on our road trip on Thursday!

We had as much fun with them on the road as we did in the mountains. There was a lot of iPad scrabble between J and I in the car. Then we started out the first night by picking up a pizza from the famous Brick Oven Pizzeria [link here]. While playing a few arcade games while we waited for it to cook, I managed to snag the high score on Hoop Fever!

The house was amazing. It is such a quaint homey place and I absolutely loved it! I was stumped by the name at first, until I remembered that A's dad is a dentist ;)
We spent the morning of the second day on a nice hike to a waterfall and back. The day was a little chilly, but that added bit of cardio made me quite comfortable!

New Year's Eve evening we all went out for a nice dinner at Sorrento's Bistro [link here] and the food was amazing! I had the Tortellini Sorrento and it was so creamy and cheesy and delicious. I think we all had a blast!

And then, of course, there was a lot of this...

...following dinner and we rang in the New Year to the early morning of 2012. What a great time! I haven't had a New Year's like this since college! :)
From Charleston, South Carolina to your computer. I hope you enjoy. :)
